A Bra that Lifts, Separates, and Detects Tumors
Bras soon won’t just be fighting the sag. A British researcher is working on a prototype bra that could detect early stages of breast cancer. The “smart bra” uses microwave antennae to pick up on temperature changes that happen when there’s an increase in blood flow to a developing tumor. The same types of passive microwaves are used to pinpoint submarine and distant star locations.
An audible or visual alarm would be built into the bra alerting wearers that they should head to the doctor. This seems like it would be a bit stressful. Especially if it happened during a business meeting or an interview! “Sorry, gotta run. I may have cancer.”
Some docs aren’t too psyched on the whole idea either, citing that many benign growths and nonmalignant inflammatory changes can also increase blood flow. But hey, any research helping women find and fight breast cancer is worth looking into in my breast opinion!

that’s an amazing bra in that picture!
lol to commenting on the bra
…Substance is great here though…idea seems crazy but how else can you get people to regularly check for breast cancer…if it works it’s brilliant, but I can see it causing a lot of false alarms as the post states
The idea is great. If the kind of bra does exist, I think it will be very welcome. Actually some of my friends did talk about this and would like to have one having cancer detection function.
Yea,especially for such fatal disease one should not depend on it. They need regular check up and medical consultation. If it detect cancer at very early stages it should be approved from medical council and relevant authority.
I’d like to learn more about this bra. Breast cancer is really frightening. It’s a deadly killer that’s hiding in the dark. It’s painful to the patient and the whole family. So anything that could detect this fatal disease is good. Thanks for sharing!
