Russell Simmons Launches the ‘Green’ Jewelry Line: Malachite Bracelet
Beyonce is seen here sporting the new ‘green’ bracelet line by Russell Simmons. The bracelet comes in two sizes, small and medium and retails for 125.00. The green malachite bracelet supports the DEF. If you have seen the movie Blood Diamond then you have an idea of the issues surrounding diamonds in Africa.
- The Mission of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) is to raise money for the development and empowerment of the people and communities in Africa where diamonds are a natural resource. The Diamond Empowerment Fund is non-profit international organization established by individuals and businesses in the diamond industry and others who are committed to empowerment of Africa.
Russell launched this Jewelry line after his visit to Botswana and South Africa on a humanitarian fact-finding mission. Many celebrities are wearing these bracelets in support. See more celebrities wearing these below.
